Initially, I started making these cyan-prints with actual photographs. Sooner I realized that prints which are derived from real objects can come out more interesting than the photographs. So I begun to explore and only focus on the characteristics of materials. One of the most explored and my favorite kind is translucency of the natural objects. Again all natural objects that I have used can be found in your garden or kitchen. I think these kind of materials can give more depth to your compositions and that's why they look more engaging to look at. Why postcards... because of their size, they are very handy an easy to work when you want to explore with more materials and also the yellowish tint they have. Generally it takes two coat application for a good dark blue stain I discovered that darker the paper, darker the print!! Yes, comparatively these postcards came out much darker than those of with white base.
